Credit Policy lets administrators cap how many credits each user can consume per day. When a user reaches their daily limit, Treasure AI Studio pauses their credit consumption until the limit resets the next day — a simple way to keep usage predictable across your organization.
Limits are expressed in credits, the same unit shown on the Credit Usage dashboard. If you track usage in conversations, multiply the credit figure by 600 (1 credit = 600 conversations). Studio does not display conversation counts directly.
Configure a default per-user daily credit limit and the account timezone that determines when the limit resets, and understand what users experience when they reach the limit.

- Account administrator privileges (Credit Policy is admin-only)
Open Settings → Credit Policy (under the Organization section). Credit Policy is visible only to account administrators.
| Setting | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Default Daily Credit Limit | The maximum credits each user can consume per day. Choose Unlimited for no cap, or Custom to enter a number of credits per day. When a user reaches the limit, their credit consumption is paused until the next daily reset. |
| Account Timezone | Determines when the daily credit counter resets (at midnight in this timezone). The same timezone is used for the date boundaries on the Credit Usage dashboard. |

The Default Daily Credit Limit applies to each user individually — it is not a shared pool for the whole account. The limit resets every day at midnight in the account timezone; unused credits do not carry over.
The account timezone can be changed at most once every 30 days. Because it controls the daily reset time (and the dashboard's date boundaries), change it deliberately.
When a daily limit is set, each user sees a small indicator in the chat showing their usage for the day, for example "3.5 / 10 credits used."

When a user reaches the limit:
- The indicator changes to "Daily limit reached."
- They can't send new messages until the limit resets.
- If they try, a message explains that the daily credit limit has been reached and shows when it will reset.
With the limit set to Unlimited, no indicator is shown and users are never blocked.
After reading this guide, you can:
- Find Credit Policy in Settings → Credit Policy
- Set the Default Daily Credit Limit to Unlimited or a custom number of credits
- Set the account timezone that controls the daily reset
- Describe what a user sees when they reach their daily limit
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| A user is blocked with "Daily limit reached" | They have consumed their daily credit limit; access returns at the next daily reset, or you can raise the limit in Credit Policy. |
| Can't change the timezone | The timezone can be changed only once every 30 days. Wait until the cooldown passes. |
| Limit doesn't seem to apply to a user | Confirm the limit is set to Custom (not Unlimited) and saved. The limit applies per user, per day in the account timezone. |
