LINE is a popular messaging platform widely used across Asia, particularly in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Engage Studio integrates with LINE through the LINE Messaging API, enabling you to deliver personalized campaigns to your LINE Official Account followers and manage Rich Menu experiences.

Message Delivery

Engage Studio's native LINE message delivery lets you:

  • Create and launch One-off Campaigns targeting LINE followers
  • Send Text (v2) and Imagemap messages with up to 5 message objects per campaign
  • Personalize messages with Liquid templates using CDP profile attributes
  • Track click-through rates at the campaign and tap-area level
  • Retrieve and view delivery statistics using LINE OA Insights

Prerequisites

To use LINE message delivery in Engage Studio, you need:

  • An active LINE Official Account with Messaging API enabled
  • Channel Secret and Channel Access Token from the LINE Developers Console
  • LINE User IDs stored in Treasure Data CDP profiles (collected via LIFF, LINE Login API, or external import)
  • A LINE authentication credential in Integration Hub
  • A LINE Sender Account configured in Engage Studio and assigned to your workspace

Getting Started with LINE Message Delivery

  1. Set up LINE authentication — Configure your LINE Official Account credentials in Integration Hub
  2. Create a LINE Sender Account — Link your credentials to Engage Studio and configure delivery logging
  3. Assign to a workspace — Make the LINE Sender Account available in your workspace
  4. Create a campaign — Select LINE OA Message as the campaign channel and compose your messages

Rich Menu Switching

LINE Rich Menu switching is available through the LINE Messaging API connector in Integration Hub. Use this capability to:

  • Dynamically assign Rich Menus based on audience segment membership
  • Personalize the persistent menu in LINE chat for different customer groups
  • Create A/B test experiences with different menu designs

Implementation: Rich Menu switching uses Audience Studio segmentation combined with the LINE Messaging API connector to apply different Rich Menus to specific user segments. This approach does not require the LINE message delivery feature described above.
