Configuring Expiration Reminders

To prevent service disruption from unexpected key expiration, Treasure AI sends automated reminders to API key owners.

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Security > API Keys.
  2. Under Reminder Settings, enter the number of days before expiration to send the reminder.
  3. Save the configuration.

Reminder Schedule

  • Primary reminder — Sent to the key owner via email at a configurable number of days before expiration (default: 30 days).
  • Console notification — A banner notification appears in the key owner's console when keys are nearing expiration.

Configuring Reminder Timing (Administrators)

Administrators can adjust when the first expiration reminder is sent:

  • 30 (default) or other days before expiration
  • Custom number of days (must be 90 days or less)

If an API key's total lifespan is shorter than the configured reminder period (e.g., a 14-day key with 30-day reminders), the reminder is sent immediately upon key creation.

Best Practices

  • Monitor expiration reminders and replace keys promptly to avoid service disruption.
  • Plan key rotation ahead of time — don't wait for the reminder to start updating your integrations.
  • Verify notification delivery — ensure the email address associated with your account is current.
